Highlight of this year’s Metropolis Xmas party! If you get a chance to see him I can highly recommend it.
It feels like the whole of May has been spent re-organising the studio. Out with the Hackintosh and in with a new iMac – it was way overdue!
On the music front it has been great linking up again with Kevin Simm, working on material for his new album. Such a talent and always a pleasure.
Oh, and there was a milestone birthday – had an amazing night at Metropolis with friends and family, the highlight being a duet with my daughter Rebecca and nephew Dan on the guitar (well, it was a highlight for us, hope it was for everyone else!).
Back in the studio today with these guys – always a pleasure! Alex & Laurence are re-working a few classics with acoustic guitar & violin.
Really pleased for Kevin Simm winning The Voice on Saturday, thoroughly deserved. I recently had a fresh listen to the Brand New album we did back in 2008 and it still sounds great! Check it out in the Music section.
Must be Love has been chosen as the lead single from the groundbreaking debut album “Pandemonium” by London-based producer Hi-Grade.
The track features Don Ricardo’s vocals from the original single, which was released on Jamdown UK back in 2003. The forthcoming album is a fusion of electro/bashment/reggae & EDM with a stellar line-up of Jamaican & UK artists. I’ve heard Hi-Grade’s club mix and love it – will try & post it soon!
